Detailed Itinerary
Early at 6:00 am you will be picked up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe by your driver guide and embark on a drive to Jinja through the green lush tea and sugarcane plantations, and roadside local fruit and vegetable markets.
You will have a stopover at the waterfalls with a unique cultural history about the Buganda cultural site, rich with birds, folktales, and great scenery. The place has cascading waterfalls covered with greenery lush vegetation that harbor colorful bird species and small primates such as monkeys.
The name Sezibwa is derived from a Luganda phrase “sizable Kkubo” which translates into “my path can never be blocked”, the locals say is because its flow could not be stopped even with different obstacles it encountered along its path like Rocks, etc.
The rivers flow down a set of rocks creating beautiful waterfalls, especially during the rainy seasons. In the dry season, the water is less hence the waterfalls are not as magnificent. This stopover will immerse you into the vibrant traditional beliefs of the Buganda kingdom and great pictures of the scenery and landscape.
You will then continue with the journey to Jinja with another stopover at Mabira forest, Uganda’s largest forest near the city. You then meet the local guide who will take you for a nature forest walk that will sweep your body and soul with fresh air, picturesque views of huge tree species, wildlife such as magnificent butterflies, red-tailed monkeys, and Mangabeys as well as listen to the sweet melody sounds of colorful bird species.
Thereafter after proceeded to Jinja town for a visit to the source of the Nile. On arrival in Jinja, you will start with lunch after which we shall enjoy a boat ride on River Nile as it starts exiting Lake Victoria. This will be the last site on this adventurous Jinja tour with a boat ride to the “Source of the Nile” at the now-submerged Rippon Falls.

Retreat from the boat cruise on the source of the Nile and embark on the journey back to Kampala/ Entebbe.
