3-Day Akagera Wildlife safari & Hot Air balloon Adventure -Luxury

Day 1:Pickup from Kigali, Visit the Genocide Memorial center & later drive to Akagera National Park for Night game drive.

At 8:30 am, you will be picked up by an English-speaking tour guide from your hotel who will give a short briefing, visit Kigali Genocide
Memorial Centre, and later embark on a scenic drive to Akagera, passing through picturesque landscapes, vibrant farmlands, bustling local markets,
and charming communities.

Upon arrival at the park entry gate, you will register and then proceed for a game viewing that shall give breathtaking sightings of the buffaloes,
Antelopes, warthogs, elephants, and zebras grazing in the savanna grasslands.
After the game drive, you will have a short break as you prepare for the night game drive at 6:00 pm, which will give picturesque views of the
sunset over the savanna plains as most herbivores find shelter and the carnivorous animals like Lions and leopards come out for their night duty

Retreat from the night game drive and check in at the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Overnight: Ruzizi Tented Lodge

Day 2: Hot Air Balloon ride and Boat trip on Lake Ihema.

Early Morning at 5:00 am, you drive to launching grounds for the hot Air balloon and later embark on the balloon offering a magical experience
with the golden light with breathtaking views as the sun illuminates the landscape and wildlife begins their day.

Hot air balloon safaris in Akagera National Park offers you a unique and unforgettable way to experience the vast plains and abundant wildlife.

Floating above the Akagera offers a panoramic view of the landscape, including grasslands, woodlands, as well as the chance to spot wildlife
from a new angle. After the flight, a champagne bush breakfast is often included, adding to the special experience
At 9:00 am, after breakfast, your driver will take you to the boat (for the sunrise boat), which starts at 7h30am and will take 1h30 hours. The
Boat trip will offer picturesque views of Lake Ihema as the pods of 50+ hippopotami grunt and splutter, crocodiles as well as other animal like
buffaloes, and zebras quench their thirst at the banks of the lake

Thereafter, you will embark on a game drive offering ecstatic views of the park’s savanna and its diverse wildlife, including the “big five” –
elephants, rhinos, lions, leopards, and buffaloes.

Overnight at Karenge Bush Camp

Day 3:Half day Game viewing in Northern part of the Park, and depart to Kigali

At around 9:00 am, embark on game viewing in this African Savannah, hills, and jungle Park. Plenty of animals can be seen, including; Lion,
Elephants, Giraffes, Buffaloes, Zebras, Hippos, Rhinos, Crocodiles, and also many other mammal species.

The Park is one of the most scenic savannahs in East Africa, the game drive provides you with the opportunity to also view gentle hills blending
beautifully with lowland swamps and water bodies.

Bird Watching: Akagera is a birdwatcher’s paradise with over 500 species of birds, including some rare species. Bird enthusiasts can spot various
species, including the papyrus gonolek, shoebill stork, and a variety of water birds around the lakes and wetlands.

Akagera National Park offers a rich blend of activities for nature lovers, adventure seekers, and wildlife enthusiasts alike!

Later at 4: 00pm exit the park and drive back to Kigali, estimated arrival time is around 6:15 pm with a drop off at the hotel or Airport.
