Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes national Park (Iby’iwacu)

You’ll be Received at the Airport by a Silverbird representative that will brief you and accustom you to the country.

  • You’ll have a stop for coffee and bites in Kigali before your transfer to Volcanoes National Park, you’ll check into the Lodge and rest.
  • Depending on the time you arrive, you’ll have lunch and divulge into the mystic by visiting Gorilla guardians Cultural Village-a Non-Profit umbrella organization that aims at improving the lives of reformed poachers and communities around Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park through provision of conservation incentives, supporting community enterprise development and livelihood-based projects.
  • Witness the Rwandan culture and tradition first hand as the community welcomes you traditionally. It’s the best way to get involved in the culture of the local community.
  • You’ll then move to your lodge for lunch and relaxation in preparation for Gorilla trekking (Classic lodge F.B)

Day 2: Gorilla trekking, Musanze caves and transfer to Kigali.

Upon briefing, you’ll commence the trek with a guide in the forest in pursuit of the Mountain Gorillas.

  • You will trek through the forest, slashing at the undergrowth, parting thick creepers, to track gorillas.
  • The time taken to track the Gorillas is unpredictable as it depends on their movements, where they find food and shelter.
  • However, it can take three quarters of the day and 90% chances of viewing them.
  • Upon reaching the Gorillas, you will have one hour with them and this will enable you to sit down and watch them as they interact with each other, communicate and you are also free to take photographs and Videos.
  • Upon accomplishing this memorable experience, you’ll have lunch and crown the day’s activities with a visit to the caves.
  • These are caves formed by flowing lava and by the effects of volcanic gasses rather than by dissolution of the bedrock.
  • Clear trails have been developed for movement to the dark interior illustrating a house with so many rooms. Return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 3: Airport Transfer with an option for Kigali city tour for late flights.

Start the day after breakfast and transfer to Kigali international airport arriving in time for flight formalities.

  • For flights departing later in the evening, a Kigali city tour will take course upon reaching Kigali where you’ll visit the Genocide memorial, Mt Kigali and Kimironko Marketbefore Details will be shared for visitors with late flights.
