Day 1: Welcome to Uganda!

Getting to a new destination can be stupendous as your senses take in queer sights of the ambience for your first visit to this country.

  • You’ll be received at the airport by a Silverbird representative that will take you to the hotel as you get accustomed to the country and the people, a memory that remains forever.
  • Check into your accommodation, have meals depending on your arrival time and with an option to visit the Botanical gardens or the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (UWEC).
  • Please note, all activities and extra transportation today are at an extra cost.

Day 2: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national Park.

Start the day with packed breakfast a transfer to queen Elizabeth National Park. Your first stop is at the equator crossing in Kayabwe for photography.

  • At this point the equator transects the Earth forming 2 hemispheres, the Northern and southern Hemisphere.
  • Drive on and stop by Masaka for bites and refreshment before proceeding to Queen Elizabeth national Park.
  • Sights of Lake Nyabuguru usher you into the region as boundless forested escarpments dominate presenting picturesque scenery that will claim a spot in you hear.
  • The vegetation appears to emerge from the lake spreading to the very top of the hill. Sit back and relax as the best is yet to come.
  • You then approach breath taking sceneries of Maramagambo forest in the back drop where you’ll stop for photos and head to the hotel where you’ll check in and have lunch.
  • You’ll relax after your lunch by the pool as you enjoy the ambience of undisturbed nature before dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Morning Game drive and Mweya Boat Cruise.

Start the day with breakfast and proceed to the National Park for a morning full game drive.

  • The Morning game drive will enable you see a number of animals as most of them are making their last hunt.
  • It is amazing to see the sun rays emerge as the Elephants, Lions, and Leopards standout before the sun scorches in this wonderful savannah park.
  • For a habitat of over 600 bird species, this game drive will give you an avenue to view a variety of these birds amply ranging from egrets, herons, Ibises horn bills and many more.
  • You’ll have lunch and proceed to Mweya for a boat trip on Kazinga channel.
  • Enjoy a leisurely boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park that gifts you with a diversity of wild life.
  • You may encounter large herds of elephant, buffalos and antelopes, families of warthogs, large groups of hippos, and crocodiles basking on the shore.
  • Kazinga’s shores are a haven for numerous birds, including many migratory species as they make their way south to warmer climates.
  • The cruise also provides a spectacular view of the beautiful terrain and life in local fishing villages set along the banks.
  • You’ll transfer to Mbarara and check into your accommodation for dinner and an overnight.

Day 4: Transfer To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Have breakfast and depart from your lodging and drive through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, a home of tree climbing lions.

  • You might view them in trees pensive as you drive by. Feel free to take photos of these wonderful kings of the jungle as you near the exit of this great national park.
  • You’ll have en-route and continue to Bwindi impenetrable national park.
  • A string of Hills ushers you into the fortress of Gorillas as boundless hills dominate your vicinity.
  • An appealing community will wave at you as a sign of reception to this beautiful community.
  • You’ll have a simple walk to the top of any nearby hill to enable you to have a panoramic view of the great Bwindi Forest.
  • Check into your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking Experience

Transfer Wake up very early and have your breakfast before heading to the park offices of a briefing at 8:00 AM.

  • After this, you will join a group of trekkers to make a group of 8 and you will hereby be accompanied by ranger guides in the forest to search for the Mountain Gorillas.
  • You will trek through the forest, slashing at the undergrowth, parting thick creepers, to track gorillas.
  • The time taken to track the Gorillas is unpredictable since it depends on their movements in search for food and shelter.
  • However, it can take three quarters of the day and90% chances of viewing them.
  • Upon reaching the Gorillas, you will have one hour with them and this will enable you to sit down and watch them as they interact with each other, communicate and you are also free to take photographs and Videos.
  • Upon accomplishing this memorable experience, you’ll return to your accommodation dinner and an over night

Day 6: Transfer To Ssese Island. 

Arise early for Coffee and bites.

  • Check out of the lodge and embark on a transfer to ssese Island with your first stop in Mbarara for breakfast at Igongo cultural centre.
  • You’ll then proceed to Masaka ferry crossing at Bukakata landing site to access Ssese Island by a 30 minutes ferry crossing disembarking at Lugala Island at Kagulube Kalangala district.
  • You’ll then drive 26km to your hotel arriving in time for lunch and relaxation.

Day 7: Guided Forest Walk, Jet Ski And Sunset Canoeing.

Upon having lunch, you’ll visit the zoo to be in the company of small animals and bird species that will amaze you. It’s an opportunity to be closer to wildlife and livestock. It’s a type of habituation experience.

  • You’ll then proceed to the forest walk as you’ll go through beautiful trails of these natural forests of hard and soft wood.
  • You’ll walk through trials of natural bio habitats of over 312 tree species, some of which are endangered species forinstane cordia millenii, malilia excelsa, warburgia ugandensis a medicinal tree.
  • You’ll return to the hotel for Jet skiing on Lake Victoria before having lunch and relaxation. You might’ve heard about the famous Lake Victoria sunset.
  • We save the best for the last. You’ll be provided with life jackets and paddles before getting to the canoe.
  • You’ll paddle your way by the shores of Lake Victoria as king fishers, teals, pelicans, gees will be at arm’s length as the sun rays turn coffee brown.
  • The fisher men begin to lay their nets as the day has just begun for them. There isn’t any harm in having your drink by you as you enjoy the deeming sun rays.
  • The sun appears to diminish in the lake as darkness looms. Return to the lake shore by the hotel.

Day 8: Transfer To Entebbe

Check out of the Hotel after breakfast for a drive to Kampala.

  • You’ll have a stop in Masaka for Coffee after which you’ll drive on to kayabwe Equator crossing.
  • This latitude that bisects the earth into two hemispheres several experiments have been arranged by the hosts to prove the dissection.
  • Feel free to take amazing photos and grab a beverage before returning to your transport and continue to the Northern Hemisphere of the Globe to Entebbe.
  • Upon reaching Entebbe you’ll have lunch and check into the hotel.
  • Relax for the rest of the afternoon with an option for a community walk in Entebbe before dinner and overnight. (Guinea fowl guesthouse, H.B).

Day 9: Airport Transfer.

You’ll have breakfast and check out of the hotel later heading to the beach for relaxation as you wait for your flight.
